Lieutenant Michael A. Roach Is the Division Commander of the Clark County Jail. It is a full-service jail facility with an average daily population of inmates totaling 220.

Lieutenant Roach began his career with the Clark County Sheriff's Office June 27, 1983 and has served in the jail division, uniform patrol division, New Carlisle Sub-Division, criminal investigations division, and 911 communications center. He was previously promoted to the rank of Corporal in April 1991 and Sergeant in January 1995. Lieutenant Roach has served in the capacity of supervisor in the road patrol division and New Carlisle Sub-Division. He has served as the 911 communications center supervisor since August 1997. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in February 2002 and assumed the "Warden" duties of the Clark County Jail. He is also in charge  of the Court Services Division which provides security for all of Clark County's Courts.
