Real Estate Sale Information

    All sales are pursuant to the provisions of the Ohio Revised Code. Our sale is held most Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the lobby of the Clark County Common Pleas Courthouse, 101 North Limestone Street, Springfield Ohio 45502. There are no Sheriff's Sales on Federal Holidays. The official listing of upcoming property to be sold can be found in The Springfield News-Sun (three consecutive weeks in advance of the sale). Additionally, a list is posted in the lobby of the Common Pleas Courthouse and in our main office located at 120 North Fountain Avenue, Springfield Ohio 45502.  The list on this Web Site is for informational purposes only and does not contain any withdrawals. A complete list of withdrawals are available at the Sheriff's Office.

 

Conditions of the Sale

    All bids begin at 2/3 of the appraised value of the property unless dictated otherwise by the Courts. If you purchase a property, you will need a cash or check is check in the amount of the required deposit. Balance will be due according to the terms of the sale. All sales stipulate  "buyer beware".  A deposit in the amount of 10% is required at the time of purchase. If  you are the successful bidder, a deed will be prepared by the Sheriff's Office once a copy of your confirmation from the Clerks Office is received.  Deeds take approximately 2 to 4 weeks after confirmation.
